Perseus Basic Biography/ Family tree Perseus was the son of Zeus and Danaë. Danaë was the totally child of Acrisius, King of Argos. Disappointed by his lack of comp superstarnt part in having a son, Acrisius consulted the oracle at Delphi, who warned him that he would one solar day be killed by his daughters son. Danaë and olive-sized Perseus drifted to the island of Seriphos where they were taken in by the fisherman Dictys who raised Perseus from male child to man. The brother of Dictys was Polydectes, the king of the island who venomous in love with Danaë.
