Man to Send Rain Clouds Essay Essays
Man to Send Rain Clouds Essay Essays Man to Send Rain Clouds Essay Paper Man to Send Rain Clouds Essay Paper Culture instills a important function in household life. Family traditions are frequently passed down from one coevals to the following. and normally produce added complexness from outside influence over clip. The original individuality of the belief continues to be evident. although more thoughts have been added to the basic cultural belief. In Leslie Silkoââ¬â¢s short narrative. ââ¬Å"The Man to direct Rain Cloudsâ⬠. this quandary arises. Although a changeless influence of Catholic beliefs are evident in the Pueblo peopleââ¬â¢s society. Leon and his household still expose their Native American individuality through their actions present throughout the narrative. Silko explains that her people ââ¬Å"were good informed about [ civilization ] . â⬠and that ââ¬Å"old traditions were deceasing outâ⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Languageâ⬠772 ) . The local Catholic Churchââ¬â¢s curate. Father Paul. efforts to integrate the Churchââ¬â¢s instruction into the Lagunaââ¬â¢s manner of life. He shows great concern for Leon and his household ââ¬Å"miss [ ing ] [ Mass ] last Sunday. â⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Manâ⬠50 ) . and requests the household to go to the undermentioned weekend. Father Paul successfully influences Leonââ¬â¢s sister. Louise. When she finds out about her grandfatherââ¬â¢s decease. she suggests integrating the rite of pouring holy H2O on his gravesite ââ¬Å"so he wonââ¬â¢t be thirstyâ⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Manâ⬠50 ) . Although Catholic intervention attempts to act upon the Native Pueblo civilization. Leon invariably attempts to retain his Native individuality. When Leon and Ken discover their Grandfather dead in the arroyo. they instantly perform the Native Pueblo imposts. The imposts included the picture of their grandfatherââ¬â¢s face. binding a plume to his hair. wrapping him in a ruddy cover. and fliping Indian meal into the air current. By executing these rites. they ââ¬Å" [ maintain ] the household â⬠¦ and kin togetherâ⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Languageâ⬠766 ) . demoing the great importance they hold upon their cultural beliefs. When reassigning grandfather Teofilo back into town. Leon and Ken deceptively tell Father Paul that ââ¬Å" [ Teofilo ] wonââ¬â¢t [ be crowding sheep ] any more now. â⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Manâ⬠50 ) . in an effort to conceal their grandfatherââ¬â¢s decease to get away the Catholic rites being forced upon him. Even though Leon efforts to maintain his Native individuality. he finally acclimates to his Catholic milieus. He asks Father Paul to integrate the holy H2O rite in concurrence with the Native American entombment. Leon exclaims that he ââ¬Å"is happy [ about ] the scattering of the holy H2O. â⬠because now his gramps could ââ¬Å"send them large cumulonimbus. â⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Manâ⬠52 ) . merely as he has wished earlier in the narrative. During the procedure of the Catholic rite. even Father Paul ââ¬Å"is reminded of something. â⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Manâ⬠52 ) . in respects to a connexion between the two civilizations beliefs. The pouring of the holy H2O displays a metaphor. The metaphor demonstrates. that if one finds similarities between different civilizations. the ability to accept the thought into your ain manner of thought. becomes much easier. When civilizations collide. their beliefs hold a inclination to act upon one another. However. the original beliefs and values must be kept noticeable. or else the beginnings of the civilization may decease out. Silkoââ¬â¢s account ââ¬Å" [ Cultures ] . convey us together. despite great distances between [ them ] . â⬠( Silko. ââ¬Å"Languageâ⬠772 ) . shows that the different beliefs people withhold brings us together. Although the Church efforts to act upon Leonââ¬â¢s household. and Leon attempts to maintain the individuality of his beliefs. they finally concede to organize what may be known as a new signifier of Laguna civilization.

Sentencing and penology law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Sentencing and penology law - Essay Example 175 in particular. Corlett argues that Kantââ¬â¢s theory does advocate for fairness and human dignity (61). Shoham, Beck and Kettââ¬â¢s examination of Kantââ¬â¢s theory of punishment in International Handbook of Penology and Criminal Justice is very instructive and intuitive and will be relied on it to a greater extent than the others. Kantââ¬â¢s theory is interpreted to mean that if society does not punish offenders, society is complicit in the crimeâ⬠¦see pp 384-385 for further discussion. Another relevant area of study is the general theory of punishment in the field of criminology: Look at the deterrent principle and how it development as a discipline in criminology see Craggââ¬â¢s The Practice of Punishment: Towards a Theory of Restorative Justice, beginning at p. 42. Also note Braithwaiteââ¬â¢s theory of punishment as expressed in Not Just Deserts: A Republican Theory of Criminal Justice and the move away from deterrence. Use Lord Dennings quote as a lead-in: Lead into the move toward rehabilitative justice as opposed to retribution and deterrence as theories of punishment. See Gaines and Miller Criminal Justice in Action: The Core beginning at p. 259. See also Tonryââ¬â¢s Sentencing Matters on the move away from rehabilitative justice (190 onward). Braitwaiteââ¬â¢s discussion on restorative justice in Restorative Justice and Therapeutic Jurisprudence 244-262 should also be incorporated into this section to demonstrate the principles of sentencing and developing theories of punishment. Also tie in Walgrave and Aertsenââ¬â¢s Reintegrative Shaming and Restorative Justice and Banduraââ¬â¢s Mechanishms of Moral Disengagement for arguments in favor of restorative justice as a means of demonstrating that Kantââ¬â¢s theory of punishment is not conducive to the aims and objective of criminal justice. Also look at Austinââ¬â¢s Using Early Release to Relive Prison Crowding: A Dilemma in Public Policy to demonstrate that Kantâ⬠â¢s theory of punishment is

School paragraph Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
School paragraph - Essay Example During the same first year I associated with a group of rotten kids who never cared about anything leave alone even what brought them in high school, and as a result my social life suffered too. In my second year I continued to struggle with motivational issues in my core classes of biology and mathematics, but like in my first year I ended up in classes that I enjoyed such as chemistry. But that year never went to waste like my first year as I successfully managed to expand my social life by ditching out the group of bad kids and started hanging out with a group of more responsible students. As we approached third year, I was able to turn my high school education around due to the moral boost I got from my new group of friends. During the fourth year, I enjoyed staying in the hall for long time doing projects, and also interacting with some of my friends. This helped me both academically and socially too as I was able to get my up to date girlfriend whom though we had stayed together for only six months before I completed my studies she had completely changed my life for good. Through her I came to know that people really respect and enjoy the person that you really are inside, and if they donââ¬â¢t, they are not really your friend. All these experience from first year to fourth year changed me in a large way. Coming to high school I was shy, unmotivated young man who didnââ¬â¢t know what he wanted with life but through all those experiences that I went through, I left high school as a man who was mature, outgoing, and very sure of myself. Those experiences taught me to believe in myself and always to have hope and confidence in every activity I engage in to in

America's Infrastructure Failing Research Paper
America's Infrastructure Failing - Research Paper Example It is both an actual and metaphorical foundation of society. This has been an issue needing a solution for at least 25 years. An effort was made in the 1990ââ¬â¢s but fell short of what was necessary even then. Today the situation is dire according to a study recently completed by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Though a slow economy is often blamed for not having the ability to fund massive projects nationwide, it is that very funding which would immediately improve the economy. A faction in Congress believes strict austerity measures are the answer to the National Debt problem and that the nation cannot afford a stimulus package to supply jobs, repair infrastructure and give the economy a boost. This is the same faction that caused the government to shut down for no reason and donââ¬â¢t acknowledge the failed austerity experiment Europe has been experiencing. It wonââ¬â¢t likely be this historically inept Congress that pulls the economy out its slow growth period while building for the future but maybe the public persuade them if the problem is framed correctly, a task President Obama is attempting, again. Whatââ¬â¢s the cost of an aging infrastructure as opposed to repairing and replacing it? Americaââ¬â¢s answer has been to patch it as it breaks while other countries are preparing for the future while creating jobs. Following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy along the east coast last year the electrical infrastructure was not worth salvaging. Instead of replacing it with a high tech ââ¬Ësmart gridââ¬â¢ the same old system was rebuilt. A tragedy brought opportunity but it was an opportunity lost. The Chinese are replacing their electric lines, not because it was something they had to do, it is the smart thing to do. Chinaââ¬â¢s new power lines lose seven percent of its energy after traveling1200 miles. U.S. power lines lose 80 percent over the same distance. Energy loss is expensive. A 2013 infrastructure report complied by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) predict that by 2020 business could be burdened with an additional $1.2 trillion in the cost of doing business such as problems associated with water main breaks, electric blackouts and shoddy roads which slows traffic and causes vehicle damage. ââ¬Å"If we look at New Orleans alone,â⬠said Assistant Legislative Director for the United Steelworkers Roxanne Brown, ââ¬Å"it was ultimately a failure of infrastructure, the levees that devastated a commanding share of the city in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.â⬠Many businesses will never recover. Itââ¬â¢s a ââ¬Ëpay me now or pay me laterââ¬â¢ proposition. Itââ¬â¢s anybodyââ¬â¢s guess how climate change will exacerbate an already critical situation. Itââ¬â¢s certain though that the dilapidated, antique infrastructure cannot endure through climate extremes because itââ¬â¢s already been falling apart for decades. The ASCE predicts the total cost to do not hing is prohibitively high, again, 1.2 trillion for businesses and $610 billion for taxpayers. (Justuan, 2013). The nationââ¬â¢s infrastructure report card is in, graded according to facts obtained by ASCE. Americaââ¬â¢s bridges are narrow and old, many well past their projected lifespan. About one-quarter are deemed ââ¬Å"structurally deficient.â⬠Bridges built during and for another time, the 1950ââ¬â¢s and 1960ââ¬â¢s, cause traffic congestion because the bridge too often have fewer lanes that

Week 4 Assignment Plagiarism English Language Essay
Week 4 Assignment Plagiarism English Language Essay According to the American Association of University Professors, plagiarism is taking over the ideas, methods, or written words of another, without acknowledgment and with the intention that they be taken as the work of the deceiver (Roig, 2006). Plagiarism takes many forms and cannot always be easy to recognize, but this paper will discuss some of the common forms that plagiarism can take, how to recognize it and then give a practical example of it in action. There are many ways that a writer can plagiarize the work of another, some of the quite purposeful, others inadvertent and still others out of ignorance. When most people think about plagiarize, they probably think about someone simply cutting and pasting the work of one person directly into their work. With the advent of computers and the Internet, this has certainly become easier. Another form of plagiarism is to present the ideas of another that are not yet in common knowledge as ones own (Roig, 2006), The failure to adequately cite the source of information that one is using, both in-text and in ones reference section,. is also a common (although sometimes an inadvertent) form of plagiarism (Walden University, n.d). Perhaps the most common form of plagiarism, though, results from problems in the proper use of paraphrasing the work of an author that one is using on ones work (Roig, 2006). While it can be a simple matter of a lack of knowing the best ways to paraphrase an author (Walden University, n.d.), it is still wrong. There are several ways in which paraphrasing can lead to plagiarism, First of all, a write can simply make a few changes in word choose or word order, but still keep the basic thrust of the authors ideas (Walden University, n.d). Another problem can come when a writer does not provide a proper in-text citation for a paraphrase, thus leaving the reader with the idea that the work was original (Walden University, n.d). Yet another source of paraphrasing error is to distort the original meaning of the work cited (Roig, 2006), Finally, a writer needs to be sure that if they do use some exact phrases from another author in their paraphrase, the use quotations marks to identify those words, and also provide the proper citation. How can one recognize plagiarism? There are actually many ways that one can detect it in anothers work. First of all, there are a number of software programs that will compare the work of the writer with other published material, and then report specific potential problems. This method will probably work best with examples of direct copying or paraphrasing with inadequate citations. One can also simply take a suspect phrase and run that through a search engine to see if the material is or is not original. Another effective way of detecting plagiarism is a result of knowing what can be called the literary fingerprint of a writer. Everyone has a unique style to their writing-word choice, sentence structure and length and even idiosyncratic ways of thinking, and when one is familiar with that, it will be fairly easy to detect plagiarism. It is also useful for a reader to be familiar with the field in which the author is writing. Familiarity with the major sources and authors will help a reader spot the times when a writer is taking credit for anothers work. If one suspects that a particular section of a work is not original, one good technique for verification is to look at the suspect work and the original work next to each other. This helps a reader recognize many potential examples of poor paraphrasing, improper citation or direct copying. As an example of this process, following are an original text and the text written by a student for comparison. These examples are taken from Crossen, 1994 and (Coun 6100) Doctors, whose first allegiance is supposed to be to their patients, have traditionally stood between drug company researchers and trusting consumers. Yet unless there is evidence of misconduct (the deliberate misrepresentation of something as fact by someone who knows it is not), it is very difficult to discover and virtually impossible to prove that a piece of biomedical research has been tainted by conflict of interest. No study is perfect, and problems arise in the labs of even the most conscientious and honest researchers. Although biomedical research incorporates rigorous scientific rules and is often critically scrutinized by peers, the information can nevertheless be warped-by ending a study because the results are disappointing; changing rules mid-study; not trying to publish negative results; publicizing preliminary results even with final and less positive results in hand; skimming over or even not acknowledging drawbacks; and, especially, casting the results in the best l ight or, as scientists say, buffing them. Consumers must trust that the research that has gone into the manufacture of new drugs is safe. But it is hard to know if a conflict of interest between doctors, researchers, and the drug company stockholders has tainted the results. Biomedical researchers incorporate strict rules of science into their work, which is examined by peers. Yet the resulting information can be warped for five reasons: ending a study too soon, not publishing negative results, publishing results too early, skimming over or ignoring drawbacks, and buffing the results by showing them in the best light (Crossen, 1994, p. 167). (Coun 6100, Week 4, n.d., para. 7) In this example, it is not too difficult to identify the ways in which the writer plagiarized their source material. One of the first examples, and it is glaring, is that they do a poor job of accurately including citations in their work. One can quickly see several examples of sentences that seem to represent the thought of the source writer but that are not individually cited. The writer also follows the basic sentence pattern and argument flow of the source author, which is one type of plagiarism. With the exception of one rather poorly though-out sentence that implausibly involves stockholders in a conspiracy to distort results, one can clearly see that the writer simply took the source material and made a few changes and allows the reader to think that the ideas expressed are their own. The last two sentences of the writers paragraph are very obviously plagiarized from their source, including some word-for-word copying of that source, without proper citation. Specifically the list of ways in which studies can be distorted is a combination of some word-for-word copying of the source without proper citation and some poor paraphrasing, which leaves the reader unsure about what part of the work is the writers and what part belongs to the source. A better way of summarizing the last two sentences might be: Crossen (1994) argues that even research that would seem to be scientific on the surface nevertheless can be warped for five reasons: ending a study too soon, not publishing negative results, publishing results too early, skimming over or ignoring drawbacks, and buffing the results by showing them in the best light (p. 167). I use several strategies to avoid plagiarism. First of all, I use a program, Viper (http://www.Viper.com), to check all my work for plagiarism before I submit it for an assignment. Secondly, I try to follow the suggestion from the Purdue Online Writing Lab (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/589/01/). I have found that their suggestions are very helpful as one approaches an assignment. Finally, I try to read as widely in a field as I can beyond the assigned material, as this helps me have a good understanding of my topic, and it makes it less likely that I will improperly paraphrase anothers work. Practice Paraphrasing Original Source, OConnor, (2003) A good writer is one you can read without breaking a sweat. If you want a workout, you dont lift a book-you lift weights. Yet were brainwashed to believe that the more brilliant the writer, the tougher the going. The truth is that the reader is always right. Chances are, if something youre reading doesnt make sense, its not your fault-its the writers. And if something you write doesnt get your point across, its probably not the readers fault-its yours. Too many readers are intimidated and humbled by what they cant understand, and in some cases thats precisely the effect the writer is after. But confusion is not complexity; its just confusion. A venerable tradition, dating back to the ancient Greek orators, teaches that if you dont know what youre talking about, just ratchet up the level of difficulty and no one will ever know. Dont confuse simplicity, though, with simplemindedness. A good writer can express an extremely complicated idea clearly and make the job look effortless. But such simplicity is a difficult thing to achieve because to be clear in your writing you have to be clear in your thinking. This is why the simplest and clearest writing has the greatest power to delight, surprise, inform, and move the reader. You cant have this kind of shared understanding if writer and reader are in an adversary relationship. (pp. 195-196) Paraphrase: OConner (2003) argued that an authors goal should be communication, not confusion- connection, not conflict. She argues that while writing in such a way that the reader is left feeling stupid or confused might make the writer feel superior, it only makes the going tough for the reader, and does not accomplish the goal of making a meaningful connection with the reader. She adds that while it is much easier to be an obtuse writer, but it makes more sense for an author to envision their readers as friends than as enemies, if they wish to excite, not overwhelm. I think that I have several strengths when it comes to paraphrasing. First of all, I love to write and have a fairly large vocabulary, so I can usually think of creative ways to re-state what an author has said. Secondly, I am widely read in this field, so I usually have a clear understanding of what an author is saying, so I am comfortable accurately paraphrasing the basic meaning of a passage. Finally, because I am confident in my topic and what I am intending to say, I only look to other author;s to support my point, whereas it seems as though some writers almost use another author to make their point for them. When one uses a writer to essentially write for them, rather than just support them, there is a greater tendency, I think, to poor paraphrasing and expecially poor use of citations. I think that my biggest need to a technical one:knowing when and exactly where to use a citation in an extended paraphrase, and when a direct quote might be best. There have been times when it might have been best to include several in-text citations, for example, rather than one, and it not always clear which course of action is best. I have found several websites to which I refer on a regular basis to help me be clear on the best paraphrase and itation course to take. I fnd that Purdues site (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/589/01/) is very helpful, as is the Plagairism.org site (http://www.plagiarism.org/). Finally, I re-read Roig (2006) from time to time, as I find his discussion, most especially his emphasis on the plagiarism of ideas, to be very challenging.

William Edward Burghardt Du Bois or W.E.B. Du Bois Essay -- William Ed
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois or W.E.B. Du Bois William Edward Burghardt Du Bois ââ¬â known simply as "W.E.B." ââ¬â was 83 when the government indicted him as a foreign agent in 1951. The only crime he had committed, however, was circulating the Stockholm Appeal, which said any government to use an atomic weapon against another country "should be treated as a war criminal." After spending six months in disgrace and paying $35,150 for his defense, the government dismissed its case against him. The old man was freed and declared himself a communist 12 years later at age 93, dying in Ghana, a country that loved him. It was a sad end for an intellectual giant whom Kim Pearson, a professor of journalism at The College of New Jersey who teaches a class on Du Bois, calls, "the premier African American intellectual of the 19th and 20th centuries." Born in Great Barrington, Mass. in 1868, during the era of Reconstruction, Du Boisââ¬â¢ maternal great-grandfather was born a slave and his father, Alfred, simply wandered away when he was a boy, never coming back. Du Bois was reared on a farm by his mother Mary and experienced little racism. He would later say that as a boy in Great Barrington, he had "almost no experience of segregation or color discrimination." Even though Du Bois was the only black student in his graduating high school class of 12, Principal Frank A. Horner encouraged him to prepare for college. Du Bois headed to Nashville, Tennessee to the halls of Fisk University, an all-black school. There, he declared, "I am a Negro. I glory in the name! I am proud of the black blood that flows in my veins â⬠¦ (I) have come here â⬠¦ to join hands with my people." He graduated in 1888 and headed to Harvard. While there, he received a grant and loan to study at the University of Berlin, where he experienced little discrimination and became fascinated by European grievances against Jews. Reflecting on his stay at Berlin, Du Bois would say, "I began to feel the dichotomy which all my life has characterized my thought; how far can love for my oppressed race accord with love for the oppressing country? And when these loyalties diverge, where shall my soul find refuge?" Du Bois earned his doctorate from Harvard in 1895 and his dissertation, The Suppression of the African Slave Trade to the United States of America, 1638-1870, was hailed as the first scientific work authored by ... ... to result in the exacerbation of prejudice and inner conflict here in America." The case against Du Bois was eventually dismissed. Du Bois did not declare himself a communist until he was 93. He finished his autobiography in 1960 and declared, "I now believe that private ownership of capital and free enterprise are leading the world to disaster. Democratic government in the United States has almost ceased to function. I shall therefore hereafter help the triumph of communism in every honest way that I can: without deceit or hurt; and in any way possible, without war; and with goodwill to all men of all colors, classes and creeds." Du Bois wrote a tremendous amount of material. Only a small number of his works have been considered in this short description of his life. In his final years, Du Bois spent his time working on an Encyclopedia Africana, which he had unsuccessfully tried to begin without financial backing in 1909 and 1931. Kwame Nkrumah, the first premier of Ghana, invited him to live out his life in Ghana and offered him funding for the final project. Appropriately, news of Du Boisââ¬â¢ death in 1963 reached America as blacks and whites peacefully marched on Washington.

Earth Climate Change Paper Essay
Article 1: Man Influenced Event Prothero, Donald R. ââ¬Å"How We Know Global Warming is Real and Human Caused.â⬠Skeptic 17 (2012): 2. This article was written following an opinionated editorial that was published challenging the evidence of human-induced climate change. In this article there are numerous lines of evidence that the author claims leans toward the fact that global climate change is manmade. He states that carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased over the last 200 years. With this evidence compared to ice cores revealing direct measurements over the last 900 year, the increase in temperature stand outs immensely. The temperature increased during the Industrial Revolution, a time period in which humans released massive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere through deforestation and the burning of large amounts of coal, gas, and oil. A second Reason that he states humans are the reason behind global climate changes is the polar ice caps melting. The polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate and will result in less than half of the Artic covered in ice by the time summer comes around. Also with the polar ice caps melting there is also the melting of glaciers. They are retreating at the highest rates ever documented. With the retreating of these glaciers is the depletion of the freshwater supply. The author rebuts the statements of those who believe climate change is natural by saying that the climate is warmer than other warm phase the Earth has been through. The reason the Earth is going through this period of abnormal warmth is due to the climate not having been exposed to the greenhouse gases previously. He states that the amount of heat that the sun provides has been decreasing since 1940 and that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has been thrown off by humanââ¬â¢s excess production of it. Article 2: Man Influenced Event Pawlik, Kurt. ââ¬Å"The Psychology of Global Environmental Change: Some Basic Data and an Agenda for Cooperative International Research.â⬠Taylor and Francis. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Feb. 2013.. The article is based on global climate change being a man-made event. In the first portion of this paper, existing evidence, mostly from earth and atmospheric sciences, on global climatic changes and the effect of human action is briefly reviewed. The author describes the term ââ¬Å"Global Changeâ⬠of having different meanings, some more general and others more restricted. Data that is shown in this article reflects the last post-glacial cycle of variations in air temperature and air carbon dioxide concentration in a time scale of 100,000 to 150,000 years, an increase in mean air temperature at the earthââ¬â¢s surface over the last 100 years, and summarizes carbon dioxide concentration measures obtained from the analysis of Antarctic ice cores and at the Mauna Loa Observatory. As described by the author, there are greenhouse gases other than carbon dioxide, including methane, nitrous oxide, tropospheric ozone and chlorofluorocarbons. To a large extent, the concentration of these greenhouse gases is due to increased burning of biomass or fossil fuel, and chemical waste from rapidly growing populations, including man. The rapid growth in human world population, its wasteful use of land and of natural resources, and waste from growing industrialization and traffic, are among the primary sources of the human-made global warming. These causes and effects are coincidental with several worldwide changes in human living conditions. These other aspects of global change relate to increasing stratospheric ozone depletion, acid deposition specifically in acid rain, loss of biodiversity, and a sharp increase in human world population. In conclusion of this paper, without suitable intervention, the greenhouse effect as described today will be amplified substantially due to growth in world population, resulting in still increasing rates of emission of organic and industrial waste and substances. Article 3: Man Influenced Event Schiermeier, Quirin. ââ¬Å"At least three-quarters of climate change is man-madeâ⬠nature.com. 4 December 2011. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=three-quarters-of-climate Quirin Schiermeier stated that at least 74 percent of the global warming occurring on earth is caused by man. During his research, he analyzed theà massive increase in atmospheric Carbon Dioxide concentrations. He also stated that in the past 60 years the earthââ¬â¢s temperature has increased more than 0.5 degree Celsius. He stated that human are increasing the amount of fossil fuels and coal being burned. Schiermeier stated that the CO2 levels were not the ultimate culprit, that the rises in other greenhouse gases are playing a large role in the increasing temperatures on earth. Schiermeier used the optimal fingerprint method to complete his research. This method was used to ââ¬Å"compare observed patterns of surface air temperature over time with the modeled climate response to greenhouse gases, solar radiation and aerosols from volcanoes and other sourcesâ⬠. While claiming only one-quarter of the climate change can be natural he states that he is using a new ââ¬Å"attributionâ⬠method when it comes to separating whether or not the changes are man or nature caused. He believes that the increase in CO2 have increased greatly since the pre-industrial period. Article 4: Man Influenced Event Freedman, Andrew ââ¬Å"New Reports Show Impact of Manmade Global Warmingâ⬠Climate Central. 11 July 2012. http://www.climatecentral.org/news/two-new-reports-underscore-impact-of-manmade-global-warming/ Texas suffered from a drought and a heat wave in 2011. Freedman stated that manmade global warming has ââ¬Å"a probability of many extreme weather and climate events, making heat waves, droughts, and other events more likely to occur within the United Statesâ⬠. He stated that the drought that occurred in Texas also expanded across less than 48 states. The drought affected about 56 percent of the United States. Freedman then stated that the US had its warmest 12 month period and was the warmest year to date in 2011. From peer-reviewed reports the data shows that human activity is evident in the increase of global climate temperatures and other effects in the past. He believes that the world will hit the 400 parts per million of Carbon Dioxide by the year 2016. He stated that the Arctic Circle experienced a record 86 straight days where the temperature did not drop below freezing. He later stated that while Texas is in a drought there are deadly floods occurring in Thailand. The study concluded that, due to manmade global warming, Laà Nina-related heat waves are now 20 times more likely to occur in Texas than they were 50 years ago. Article 1: Nature Influenced Event Singer, S. Fred ââ¬Å"Global Warming: Man-Made or Natural?â⬠Hillsdale Edu. 25 October 2012 http://ww.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis/archive/issue.asp?year=2007&month=08 ââ¬Å"Continental drifts, mountain-building, changes in the Earthââ¬â¢s orbit, volcanic eruptions, and solar variability are all natural processesâ⬠says Singer. He also believes that the Sun is affecting fluctuations of solar irradiance, variability of UV portion of solar spectrum, and the variations in the solar wind that modulate the intensity of cosmic rays. He gathered his data from Proxy data which has now made it possible to detect the impact of the Sun on Earth. ââ¬Å"Human activities are not influencing the global climate in a perceptible way. Climate will continue to change, as it always has in the past, warming and cooling on different time scales and for different reasons, regardless of human action. I would also argue thatââ¬âshould it occurââ¬âa modest warming would be on the whole beneficial.â⬠Singer argues that nothing the humans are doing at this point in time is really affecting the rate at which the earth is warming or not warming. Singer states that global warming is a problem, but it is a political one. He states the reaction that the government can doing something about climate can cause other problems that can affect the health and well-being or the human race. Article 2: Nature Influenced Eventà Lindzen, Richard S. ââ¬Å"Global Warming: The Origin and Nature of the Alleged Scientific Consensusâ⬠Cato Institute. 25 October 2012 http://www.cato.org?pubs/regulation/rev15n2/reg15n2g.html. Lindzen believes that the money spent on ââ¬Å"researchâ⬠is unneeded. Misperceptions coupled by sincere desire to ââ¬Å"save the planetâ⬠are distracting people from what Mother Nature is telling us. He believes that the media immediately adopts an idea that is accepted by the public and brings them more money and popularity. He said that the computer models were not accurate in any way and therefore people believe the media and get scared. He states that when the skeptics began to get air time that ità created controversy among the media and the opinions of the people following such media. Scientists began to contest each other and began to prepare speech and other forms of rebuttal. One large problem with education and the media is the way that greenhouse gases are presented and taught at a young age, when in fact the process is far more complicated than the people care to understand. Lindzen claims that while global warming can become a crisis in the future, as a scientist, the human, plant, animal populations would have little to no difficulty adapting to the warmer temperatures and the affects to go along with it. He says that the people have a contorted view of what global warming is and how it really works within the earth. Article 3: Nature Influenced Eventà Mandia, Scott A. ââ¬Å"Climate Change: Natural Causesâ⬠Sunnysuttolk.edu 2011 http://www2.sunnysunnysuffolk.edu/mandias/global_warming/natural_causes_climate_change.html. Mandia believes that chemical weather can cause cooler climates and can also remove atmospheric carbon. Although volcanoes achieve the exact opposite effect, volcano magma contains carbon and therefore puts carbon back into the atmosphere. Volcanoes can cause a range of different effects the atmosphere and the climate including, gases into the atmosphere, ash into the air, and carbon increase. Volcanoes have the effects of all the human pollution in just one small eruption. Some volcanoes contribute far more than man could ever produce in affecting the atmosphere and the climate of the earth. Mandia believes that the Earth is just going through a climate cycle as it has done multiple times before over the course of history. The Sun has a cycle of its own and that can contribute to the climate on Earth as well. Other aspects of the Earth such as the wobble, the tilt, and the rotation around the sun and its axis affect the global climate to some degree as well. Multiple natural forms like the oceans can also affect the Earthââ¬â¢s temperature. Aspects such as the oceans and the animals on earth can work to heat and cool the earth over an extended period of time and contribute to the overall climate of the earth. Article 4: Nature Influenced à Thompson LG. ââ¬Å"Kilimanjaro Ice Core Records: Evidence of Holocene Climate Change in Tropical Africaâ⬠sciencemag.com 18 October 2002 http://www.sciencemag.org/content/298/5593/589.full ââ¬Å"Six ice core from Kilimanjaro provide an approximately 11.7 thousand-year record of Holocene and environmental variability for eastern Africaâ⬠says Thompson. The ice cores suggest that the fluctuating lake levels in the cores record multiple droughts during the African Humid Period. The author is in short telling readers that during these thousands of years the Earth cooled and warmed to fill and dry these lakes. The author is trying to show that while the earth does warm it also cools typically with a pattern to go along with it and records to support these patterns. Earth has a cycle and every so often that cycle will start over and the temperatures will fluctuate making the temperature rise and fall. These ices cores are just a small part of what is happening all over the world at any given point in time. The earthââ¬â¢s climate effected very little if any at all by man and the activities that man partakes in on the earth. Man covers a very small portion of the ear th and will never cover enough to majorly affect the climate of the Earth that can change the pattern that it is currently on. My Opinion: The Earth is not a constant in this universe and nothing is constant within that inconsistency. The climate of the Earth has always changed and will always continue to change. The climate of the earth is a very complex area of science and it is something that current scientists may never come to understand. Who is to say that there is an answer to the question that is Global Climate Change? The climate of earth is not an easy topic to discuss even though it is constantly discussed all over the world. Nothing is ever constant in the science of global warming. Scientists are always changing their theories and models to fit the changing opinion that is climate change. Not one specific factor can be used to describe climate change but rather an abundance of theories and ideas that we might have about why the temperatures are changing the way that they are. Not one scientist can say that none of theà research has been disproven by another scientist research in this area of science. Man consumes about 1 percent of the earth in total (Nature Article 4). Man does burn fossil fuels and coal and other materials that release toxins into the air but one natural event in the world can mask almost every mistake that man has made in their entire existence. Man does create pollution without a doubt but not a single human being would be willing to give up their quality of life to completely end the burning of fuels and other harmful chemicals in the earth. Pollution increased during the industrial revolution and has been decreasing since then. Man isnââ¬â¢t perfect and never will be, but the effects that man has on climate change are minimal in comparison to the effects of nature. Humans have no control over the volcanoes, earthquakes, animals, plants and any other events and biotic factors on earth. All of these things contribute to global warming in some way or another. One volcano eruption can release more toxins and cause more damage than most of what man has done in their entire existence (Nature Article 3). Other events can upset the pattern in which the earth rotates and that can lead to changes in the climate. Man can only help and hurt so much in their short existence on earth. The earth will likely outlast any human that will walk on it. People are just going to make the most of what they have at hand and when we are gone a new beginning will occur just as it has done in the past of the present conditions to exist. Nothing is guaranteed in this place we call Earth and that will always continue to be the case. Man cannot change what nature has already set forth for the fate of the population. The earth has a plan and it will be carried out regardless of the influence that man tries to inflict on this plan. Nature has a course and it will run no matter what is put onto the earth and the damage that it inflicts on the earth. Man has little to any influence on the effects of the earth and all of the aspects within it, including climate change. Nothing that man has done or will do can affect the earth more than nature will. Nature holds great contributions to the human race and it is beyond anything that man can accomplish the only thing that can truly hurt nat ure is nature itself.

What impressions of Silas Marner do you form early in the novel Essay Example
What impressions of Silas Marner do you form early in the novel Essay Example What impressions of Silas Marner do you form early in the novel Paper What impressions of Silas Marner do you form early in the novel Paper Essay Topic: Literature This essay plans to tell the reader about the early chapters in the book Silas Marner. Part I begins with the description and comparisons of the two settings that are introduced to us in this book, it then goes on to tell the reader about Silas himself, Silass physical drawbacks and his membership of the sect in the Lantern Yard. Part II then goes on to tell the reader about the more social aspects of Silass life and then about his settlement in Raveloe. In the opening chapters of this book we are introduced to two types of setting. Firstly we are introduced to Raveloe (pages 10 through to 12), this is quite a verdant village, a woody village tucked away in the back woods of the fresh English Midlands. The way Raveloe is placed geographically and its seclusion from the rest of the Midlands, the intellectual and spiritual confinement of its quite simple and its very misunderstood tastes to the countryside are premeditated. In this setting the writer George Eliot captures all the views of the bygone era, prompted by her indelible Warwickshire memories. The second setting that we are given is one that is not written in the text but one, which we have to look for. Just before the industrial revolution was due to begin is the books second setting. This is between the decades 1810 and 1840, when the first signs of industrialization were being seen in the urban areas, the first roads into the English countryside had begun to be put in place and land enclosures had fallen off the agenda and the peasants were being forced to move into the towns and cities to earn a decant living. Whilst this was proceeding, Raveloe village itself was remaining unaffected by this looming industrialisation and it continued to proceed with its rural backdrop still fertile and exuberant. The spinning wheels still hummed busily in the farmhouses, the bigger families lived in wealth and luxuries swearing by the thriving land, inherited estates and still using their ancestral tankards. Whilst these events are continue in the Raveloe village, Silass life as a weaver is starting to become quite easy for him and he is becoming quite a prosperous member of the village, but his fortune is still very secret and nobody knows the amount of money he has stored away apart from him. Silas is a very simple and extremely trusting man who lives for his work and works with pride. Silass has a Thread-bore physique; he appears to be very shabby and untidy. His body is not one thriving with muscles but a rather slender build. His eyes are very protruding and myopic (short sighted) and are quite baggy due to his heavy workload. Silas has a condition known as catalepsy, which is a suspension of the senses, all bodily powers and movements, with muscular rigidity and in some parts of the world called a trance. We first find out about the catalepsy around page twelve when Jem Rodney tells us that on coming up to him, I saw that Marners eyes were set like a dead mans, and he spoke to him, shook him, his limbs were stiff, and his hands clutched the bag as theyd been made of iron. The children of the village are terrified of Silas and after a while they begin to associate him with the devil. Jem Rodney then goes on to describe Silas as a dead man, come to life. Mr Macey believes that Silass soul leaves his body and goes into other peoples body to see what is going on in their lives. This plays a vital part in the early plot of the novel, while Silas is still a member of the Lantern Yard sect. The leader of the sect Deacon is suffering from a very bad illness; almost knocking on heavens door and it was Silass turn to watch him. Whilst he watches him he falls into a fit and William Dane knows this and takes advantage of it, by going in to the room and stealing the churches money from the cabinet where it is kept. He uses Silass knife, which he borrowed a few days before to cut some cloth, to pick the lock so he cannot be framed for the theft. Silas is obviously found guilty and banished from the sect; he does not only lose his religion but his best friend and fiancà ¯Ã ¿Ã ½e too. In this sect at Lantern Yard Silas has a major to play in the running and organization inside of the sect. He does his fair share of the work for it and is very highly thought in the sect. He is a man of exemplary life and he has a great faith in god and its surrounding faith. He was very trusting and thought that his best friend and fiancà ¯Ã ¿Ã ½e would not abandon him in his moment of need and when they did he was ashamed to have even known them and upon losing them, he lost his life and everything that meant anything to him. He felt that he had been betrayed by everyone and especially God because in the end he begins to call God The God of Lies. William Dane was one of Silass best friends during his time at the sect, but when it comes to the end of Silass time at the sect he stabs him in the back by not supporting him and then going on to marry his fiancà ¯Ã ¿Ã ½e. Dane had very narrow slanting eyes but that was not his only unusual facial feature, his lips seemed to be always very compressed. This gives us an impression that he is quite a sadistic man and sometimes can be evil. Dane describes Silass fit as a visitation of Satan only after Silas has moved on out of the sect and they are no longer friends. For Silas to be found guilty of the theft the leader has to draw lots out of a black bag and if the number drawn is even he is innocent but if it is an odd number drawn he is guilty. This is done on the basis that the leader of the sect puts them in but God takes the power of his hand as he puts them in. After the sect find him guilty of theft and they turn their backs on him, he loses the framework of his life, his friends, his belief in god and then goes on to resent God in a way that can not be described in words but not only does he lose all of this he also loses the one person in the whole world which he loves dearly. When we first come into contact with Raveloe it has been fifteen years since Silas had first come to settle there. There are three reasons given in the book to why Silas chose to settle there. It begins by telling us that believes that he is safe and is disconnected from the rest of the world and from God. It is a low wooded area and is quite populated so there is enough custom to ply his trade and earn a good living, and also that this village is very different from the sect at Lantern Yard and this will help him to forget all the bad memories he posses from there. When Silas arrives in Raveloe for the first time the villages form impressions on Silas because not only are they both intellectually and physically slow they arse also very superstitious. This new person moving into the village also intrigues them. They find the way he works at his loom all day long with few breaks quite mysterious and not moving to scare away peeping scoundrels just to stare at them without a mumble of a word, they suspected that this stare gave the children or even adults a disease that would paralyse them or even kill them. They already knew that Silas had learnt about herbal remedies and this struck both fascination and fear into them. The ladies in Raveloe know that he is in not interested in them or he never lets anyone over his doorstep to talk or never goes for a quiet drink in the pub. Silas sits at his loom working all day because he has nothing left to do, while doing this he becomes quite prosperous. The gold that he earns replaces everything that he had from Lantern Yard. The rhythm and framework has gone from his life ever since he was banished from the sect. He lost all his belief in God, lost and any routine that he once might have had but now all he is left with is his loom and gold. The routine that he had is now replace by the counting of his gold, he enjoys doing this because it is warm and soft to touch, another reason we are given for his counting of the gold is he thinks that gold cannot betray him like his old friends did. George Eliot uses two references to natural imagery in the early chapters of the book. She explains about Silass weaving pattern by saying, He seemed to weave, like the spider, from pure impulse, without a minuets reflection. He used the weavers chair as a comfort zone where he relaxed and freed himself of bad feelings. She described his life after the sect to be like a rivulet. An old drying up, small stream that is leading to nowhere or not coming from anywhere.

Immanuel Kant on law and justice Essays
Immanuel Kant on law and justice Essays Immanuel Kant on law and justice Essay Immanuel Kant on law and justice Essay Essay Topic: Immanuel Kant To be moral populating human existences there must be a guiding action. This action varies depending on the grade of duty: jurisprudence. regulation or axiom. A jurisprudence should advance and protect the common good. Above all. a jurisprudence must be merely and sensible to follow. A regulation is a prescribed usher for behavior or action that indicates how we ought to move to act in certain state of affairss. Rules are non purely legislated but are nevertheless obligatory guidelines for actions. A axiom is a general truth or regulation of behavior. Immanuel Kantââ¬â¢s political instruction may be summarized in a phrase: republican authorities and international organisation. In more characteristically Kantian footings. it is philosophy of the province based upon the jurisprudence ( Rechtsstaat ) and of ageless peace. Indeed. in each of these preparations. both footings express the same thought: that of legal fundamental law or of peace through jurisprudence. Rechtsstaat is a philosophy in Continental European legal thought. originally borrowed from German law. which can be translated as a legal state . state of law . state of justice . state of rights or state based on justness and integrity . It is a constitutional state in which the exercising of governmental power is constrained by the jurisprudence. and is frequently tied to the Anglo-American construct of the regulation of jurisprudence. but differs from it in that it besides places an accent on what is merely ( i. e. a construct of moral rightness based on moralss. reason. jurisprudence. natural jurisprudence. faith or equity ) . In a Rechtsstaat. the power of the province is limited in order to protect citizens from the arbitrary exercising of authorization. In a Rechtsstaat the citizens portion legally-based civil autonomies and they can utilize the tribunals. A state can non be a broad democracy without first being a Rechtsstaat. German authors normally place Immanuel Kantââ¬â¢s theories at the beginning of their histories of the motion toward the Rechtsstaat. Kantââ¬â¢s attack is based on the domination of a countryââ¬â¢s written fundamental law. This domination must make warrants for execution of his cardinal thought: a lasting peaceable life as a basic status for the felicity of its people and their prosperity. Kant proposed that constitutionalism and constitutional authorities ought to be sufficient to vouch this felicity. Kant had therefore formulated the chief job of constitutionalism: The fundamental law of a province is finally based on the ethical motives of its citizens. which. in its bend. is based on the goodness of this fundamental law. A Kantian justness system would therefore entirely concentrate on what was done. instead than on the character of the individual who did it. No excuses sing a criminalââ¬â¢s genome. upbringing. history of mental unwellness. or socioeconomic position can acquit him from having penalty for the condemnable act. The fact that a adult male was abused during his childhood does non warrant his imposition of similar maltreatment on others later in life. Many responsibilities are developed into Torahs because society has deemed them of import for the protection of the person. There are some Torahs that are written to safe guard the person and others for the community. All Torahs must be written to continue society which includes protecting the rights of all people in both the bulk and minority accordingly all Torahs must possess certain common traits. Immanuel Kant believed that all worlds are born inherently bad and must seek difficult to be good. This theoretical account of idea is of immense aid to understanding what actions Kant saw as necessary for the creative activity of justness within the existent universe. since. one time once more. every individualââ¬â¢s worldview is based upon that individualââ¬â¢s ain set of experiences. Pure ground is a perfect integrity ; and hence. if the rule presented by it proves to be deficient for the solution of even a individual one of those inquiries to which the really nature of ground gives birth. we must reject it. as we could non be absolutely certain of its sufficiency in the instance of the others . ( Critique of Pure Reason. 3 ) Kant on Contemporary Issues Contemporary Issue: A proposal by the authorities to legalise larceny. Harmonizing to Immanuel Kantââ¬â¢s theories and positions he would seek to oppose this jurisprudence. The general definition of larceny is the pickings of another personââ¬â¢s belongings without that personââ¬â¢s permission or consent with the purpose to strip the rightful proprietor of it. Immanuel Kant would see this an immoral action on the individualââ¬â¢s portion therefore ensuing in penalty. When person is punished for something it is because they did something abominable. Humans act non merely on impulse as effected by Torahs of nature. but besides out of scruples pick based on rules and these rules tell us how we ought to move. Our scruples as a capacity has a cardinal sense of value and personal duty. If larceny were to be legalized. it would ensue in a ceaseless concatenation of people perpetrating evil actions to foster their ain demand. Peoples would go more selfish and greedy. Because Kant believes worlds are born inherently bad we must endeavor every twenty-four hours to avoid enticement which we can merely be redeemed by good behavior and the grace of God. This would besides travel against Kantââ¬â¢s ideal justness system. Nothing can get away our notice ; for what ground produces from itself can non lie hidden. but must be brought to the visible radiation by ground itself. every bit shortly as we have discovered the common rule of the thoughts we seek. ( Critique of Pure Reason. 5 ) . Kantââ¬â¢s theory is his belief that it should ever be possible. within our power. to make the right thing. Kant believes that rational worlds are agents. they have programs. and they make calculated picks. It is this fact about worlds that Kantââ¬â¢s ethical theory seeks to enshrine and protect. Human bureau should neer be sacrificed for anything less valuable and everything is less valuable. Justice has a moral duty to ever make. The first responsibility of justness is to neer handle people as mere means to oneââ¬â¢s ain terminals. But handling a individual as an terminal in themselves is to make more than regard this responsibility: it is besides to help them in accomplishing their morally lawful terminals. For these grounds Immanuel Kant would non let to legalise larceny. Our authorities. justness responsibility and morality would wholly be altered if such a thing were to go on and that was Kantââ¬â¢s biggest fright that our humanity would be consumed by mercenary things. We need Torahs and peace in order for us. as people. to be rational human existences. Work Cited: Germany. ââ¬â Understandings of the Rule of Law ââ¬â Wikis Der Freien UniversitAà ¤t Berlin. Data analysis Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Data analysis - Essay Example The data gathering process is conducted through online questionnaires or surveys in order to determine the information, which is gathered and then analyzed. The Strategic Communication is first important in communicating to authors what was uncovered in the research. Secondly, when the book is ready to be sold, the Strategic Communication, through advertising and public relations (PR), reflects the changes made in this new edition to all those who potentially will adopt or purchase this book for their courses (Churchill and Iacobucci 566). As another example of Strategic Communications, a Vice-President in a business may need to inform the board of directors about a new process that can be implemented, but with some additional costs. The research done as to the planââ¬â¢s effectiveness and what it will cost, is essential to selling this new process to the board of directors. Therefore, the statistics which shows this information, is an essential part to successfully selling the ne w plan or operation. 2. Differentiate between a population and sample. The difference is that a population consists, for example, of all people who drink coffee at Starbucks (Zikmund 296). The sample of the population must be taken from within that population of all people who drink coffee from Starbucks (Week 4, p.2). ... This is part of variables when we determine these parameters of the data while canvasing those people who have applied to take the survey Week 4, p.4). If any of the required parameters (variables) are not present, such as a certain age group, buying Starbucks coffee more than once a month, who are currently working, and own a home, for example, then those returns are not vetted or accepted. In general, use 10% of the overall group to get a representation, such as 100/1000 (Muijs 35). In describing a sample of School of Communication students, they would need to be taking classes in public relations, journalism, marketing, and radio/television courses (Zikmund 296). Age is not considered a factor but it can be a descriptive of the sampling, as older students also take these courses, not just those who are 18 to 22 years of age. In defining parameters for attaining the sample, the objective for this might be that only those who are majoring in any of these courses, and within a certai n age group, can apply to the research study. Other parameters that could be applied in some cases, is to only have honor students apply, rather than the whole population of students in the School of Communications. Creating such parameters in the invitation communication means that only those who closely fit the parameters, will apply, rather than the whole school or college, thus saving on wasted time weeding out those who do not fit in to the objective (Muijs 35; week 4, p.6). 3. Explain what statistical significance is. Statistical significance is the process of testing data through various operations. One example might be in creating two different messages, with a call to action, which will be sent to a sample group. This would be called A/B testing to see which

NEC3 - Essay Example New Engineering Contracts 3rd Edition or NEC3 is a modernistic family of contracts of contracts. It helps in implementing construction project management and supervisory principles. NEC3 synchronises the different business and engineering practices and also renders definitions for the different legal relationships and liabilities. Hence, adoption of NEC3 family of contracts culminates at an altogether cultural transformation of a construction company and its different construction project sites and subsidiaries. According to New Engineering Contract (2005), the principal feature of this cultural transformation is the complete abandonment of a hindsight dependent reactive management paradigm. NEC3 helps the construction company and its various contractors to embark on a foresight based proactive management mechanism with clearly defined contracting rules and regulations that are fair towards both the employers and the contracting agencies. The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) has endorsed NEC3 as a family of contracts that can satisfy the contemporary Achieving Excellence in Construction (AEC) principles (New Engineering Contracts, 2005). This implies that NEC3 is compliant with the most recent government regulations laid down by the 21st century legal developments of UK. In this context, NEC3 contracts can be synchronised with the regulations such as Utilities Contracts Regulations (2006) too (Ashworth, 2011; Close, 2011). OGC has recommended the use of NEC3 family of contracts by the public sector procurers on their construction projects for the sake of authenticity and complexity issues. So it can be further deduced that NEC3 has been recommended by OGC as a compact and unitary engineering contracts mechanism. This is not the case with JCT2011. JCT contracts (as devised by the Joint Contacts Tribunal Limited,
